Winning Streak Across the Grades – A Proud Weekend for the MCC Family
What a weekend to be a part of Mambourin Cricket Club! It was a nearly perfect scorecard across both our Senior and Junior ranks, proving once again that the hard work at training is paying off on the pitch.
Senior Results: The Saturday Slam
Our Saturday Senior teams showed no mercy this weekend, recording wins in almost every grade.
- Div 2, 6, 7, and 11: ALL VICTORIOUS!
- Div 4: Match abandoned due to conditions (though with our current form, we have no doubt the result would have been the same!).
Individual Standouts:
- Division 2: A masterclass in batting with an unbeaten half-century from Kousic and a vital 43* from Vinabavkumar Manivannan. On the bowling front, Vinabav, Kousic, and Adithya Lakshman tore through the lineup with 3 wickets each.
- Division 6: Captain Shaffi Sait led from the front with a “Birthday Treat” half-century, supported by a clinical 3-wicket haul from Ram Yangal.
- Division 7: Gagan N T dominated with the ball, claiming 3 wickets to stifle the opposition.
- Division 11: A flying start of 43 runs by Boobala Krishnan set the tone, followed by incredible spells from Ganesh Kumar (7ov/1Mdn/3Wkt/16 runs) and Kishan Viramgama (6ov/1Mdn/3Wkt/10 runs).
Junior Results: The Future looks Bright
Our stars of tomorrow also brought home the points:
- U11 Saturday Cubs: Secured a fantastic win!
- U13 A Sunday Team: Continued their winning ways with a dominant performance.
